Youth Indoor Soccer Ages 4 to 8

INDOOR MICRO & MINI SOCCER PROGRAM INFO

Season starts with an Intro Camp on September 28, October 5, October 19, October 26.

Games runs from mid November to mid March with a two week break at Christmas time.

All games are on Saturdays. Games are one hour in duration, and the game time will vary from week to week between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. All games will be played at Gateway.

The coach will contact parents at the beginning for November regarding your first game time.

Coaches: Parent volunteer coaches are required to run this program. Please consider volunteering to coach. Coaching clinics will be provided and minimun certifications will be necessary.

Teams:

Teams are formed based on the age as of December 31, 2024. Children cannot request to play in a lower age group.
Micro: ages 4 to 6 years 2018, 2019, 2020.  Teams will be co-ed and formed by U4/U5 (together) and U6’s, depending on numbers
Mini: ages 7 & 8 years 2016, 2017.  Teams will be separated by gender and age, depending on the numbers
Registration: $350 + $16 charged by Manitoba Soccer Assocation if player didn’t pay it this year yet.

Equipment:
Shin guards and soccer cleats or indoor running shoes is required.
Players will be given a t-shirt to wear for the season, and can keep it at the end.
There is a no jewellery policy, as per Canada Soccer, so earrings will need to be removed

Season Intro Camp
For four weeks prior to the start of the season a “RUSTBUSTER” will be facilitated by the Phoenix District Soccer Program. This is a program where the players will be taught soccer skills, play games, and increase players’ physical literacy.

Friend Requests Policy:

Player requests will only be considered in the following priority:

  1. A parent/family member that volunteers as a coach for the indoor soccer program
  2. Both players must have requested to play with each other (one friend only)
  3. Friend/Player requests will only be considered for same birth year participants. We will not consider requests that are made for more than 1 birth year apart.

Indoor micro/mini soccer is open to everyone, include those outside of the catchment area.

Withdrawal Refund Policy

Registration fees will be refunded to any player who has registered and then subsequently decided not to play or was unable to play. These fees will be refunded on the following basis.

  1. An administration fee will be deducted (minimum of $25.00) from the refund amount.
  2. Any costs incurred by the player will also be deducted. These costs include fees for rustbuster sessions or clinics.
  3. A pro-rated amount will be deducted for any games team has played.
  4. The refund amount must also take into consideration any discounted rates paid.
  5. Once three sessions have been played by the team/player no refund will be issued.
