Late fee of $50 applies to ALL late registrations and payments
Late registrations are not guaranteed, it is dependent on roster space.

Game Days

The WMBA fall basketball season runs from October until March.

The Fall League Community Club teams will be separated into the following age divisions…

Saturday Games * (games can range from 9 am – 6 pm)
11 Girls, 11 Boys,12 Girls, 12 Boys
(age is of December 31, 2016)
(note: age divisions subject to change)

Sunday Games * (games can range from 9 am to 6 pm)
13 Boys, 14 Boys, 13-14 Girls, 15-18 Girls, 15 Boys, 16-18 Boys
(age is of December 31, 2016)
(note: age divisions subject to change)

Games are one hour in duration.
Club teams will participate in 16 regular season games plus a 2-game playoff.
Teams practice at area school gym.

A $50 jersey deposit will be collected by the coach at the first practice.

Coaches are required to run the program. If you are interested in coaching please contact the convener or the club.

Ages from 8-18  (2008 to 1998) = $285

Gateway Recreation Centre Catchment Area

Basketball Registrations are required to belong to the gateway catchment area. Registrations that do not belong in the catchment area will be withdrawn and refunded.  Please see list of streets in the catchment area or the catchment area map.

Volunteer (Special Events)

During the online registration you may check that you are interested in volunteering for a special event or coaching.
Gateway Volunteer Credit Policy


Deposits for jerseys will be collected as a team at the first game or practice. A postdated deposit cheque will be required at that time. If the jersey is returned at the end of the season the deposit cheque will be destroyed.

Withdrawal Refund Policy

Registration fees will be refunded to any player who has registered and then subsequently decided not to play or was unable to play. These fees will be refunded on the following basis.

  1. An administration fee will be deducted (minimum of $25.00) from the refund amount.
  2. Any costs incurred by the player will be deducted. These costs include fees for tryouts or clinics.
  3. A pro-rated amount will be deducted for any games/sessions the player has played. This pro-rated amount is based on the registration fee minus the above items.
  4. The refund amount must also take into consideration any discounted rates paid.
  5. Once three regular-season scheduled games/sessions have been played by the team no refund will be issued.
